"I need something," she says after a long minute of silence. And the rehearsed lie falls off her tongue: "I... I need it for medical reasons... I'm in a lot of pain, so... Do you have any Angel Tail Color?"
It's an unfamiliar name that she just parrots back, but she hasn't had time to check the new stock lists yet - that's the problem with not going out to buy your wares yourself. Checking will fix that. "Dunno... But we got a lot of new stuff yesterday with the train'n'all!"
And she beckons with her whole hand for the other girl to follow her over to the counter. She's clearly taken the lie for truth; it's nothing but sympathy that makes her read through the list with determination. "Angel Tail Color... Ah! Found it!"
"Really?" She has followed Recette over the counter and her face instantly lights up when she hears the news. She wasn't expecting that-- the shop had been her last hope, after looking around for a shady-looking person to buy off of. "H-how much for some?" She goes to fumble with her pockets, pulling out her raks and setting them on the counter.
As Nekoko takes out her raks, Recette is retrieving a small packet from the section of counter indicated on the paper.
"Lessee..." She traces the list along to the left, where the suggested price tags are, and blinks. Hmm. Not that she has any idea what the stuff is - the list has it under Medicine - but that's an okay price, right? She looks down at the packet, and hopes so.
With the confidence of a shopkeeper used to this kind of vague selling, she settles on a starting price.
"Seven... I have ten." Two pills wouldn't even last her a full 24 hours. Close to it, but not quite. She thinks of how she can stretch it, but finds there's not many ways to do it. ...It's expensive here like it was back home. She looks at her raks set across the counter and pushes seven of them forward.
"U-um, if you have ten, do you want a deal?" Recette perked up. It wasn't haggling like this, not really, because she wasn't trying to go higher at all, but sometimes it was more important to haggle for a customer's happiness than it was to haggle for things like money.
"What about two packs for ten? Um, if you need that much." Another pack had joined the first as she spoke.
And she lights up once again. There is a small smile on her face. She is so overwhelmingly grateful. "I need some for every day... so that's a much better price... thank you. Thank you very much. Can you ring them up now? Please, and thank you."
"You're welcome!" Yay, she thinks, I didn't do too badly after all. Sometimes working here can be harder than Pensee in really weird ways. She takes the ten raks, and the till chimes as she registers the sale. Then the packs are put in one of her favourite little Rakette bags, and handed over with a smile returned. "Um, for next time! You usually kinda need a Player to buy stuff from here... but I'm sure it'll be okay this once!"
"I'll remember this, and that too. ... Thank you. I'm grateful." She takes the bag, opening a package and taking a pill straight away before walking out of the shop.

"This pack has two in, so it'd be seven raks."
